Changing a Tour You Have Already Reserved
If you wish to change the date, time or type of tour you have already reserved online, you may do so by calling Gettysbike at (717) 752-7752. Changes cannot be made online. We will attempt to make the change depending on availability. If there is a difference in cost, we will refund the difference or you will pay the difference when you arrive the day of the tour.Canceling
If you need to cancel a tour you may do so up to 72 hours (three days) before the scheduled start of the tour, and we will issue a refund less a 10% service fee. You must call Gettysbike at (717) 752-7752 to make a cancellation. No refunds will be issued for any cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to the tour. If you cancel less than 72 hours prior to the tour, we will give you a credit for 90% the cost of the tour (with no expiration date), which can be used for any of our future tours.Weather Policy
Guided tours run rain or shine. If you wish to cancel the tour for any reason, please do so at least one hour BEFORE the tour is scheduled to begin, but please remember that your payment is non-refundable, though you will receive credit (90%) towards a future tour. We have learned that the weather reports often prove inaccurate and, therefore, we ask that you be flexible. In the event of a thunderstorm before a tour begins, our policy is to wait until it passes. Should a thunderstorm occur while on the tour, the guide will seek the nearest shelter and wait for the storm to pass. (Because of the route of the tour, it is often easier to pause and head to the nearest shelter rather than head back.) Please consider that your reserving a tour causes people to make themselves available to you. Thus, do not assume that rain or thunderstorms (or a threat of either) before a tour automatically cancels the tour.We do, however, reserve the right to cancel tours for safety reasons. If the weather looks threatening the day of the tour, call Gettysbike at (717) 752-7752 to see if we have cancelled the tour. If we cancel a tour, you may either reschedule or receive a full refund.
Arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of the tour!
Before starting the tour, we need you to sign a waiver form, fit you on a bike, and give you a chance to get used to your bike. It is important that we start the tours on schedule; therefore, we require that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.Leave at least 30 extra minutes in your schedule in case the tour goes long!
We strive to finish the tours on time. However, because of variances in such matters as traffic, riding pace and questions, and because of unforeseen circumstances such as flat tires, some tours might run up to an additional 30 minutes longer. Try not to plan another event too soon after the conclusion of the tour. If you do have something else planned in a tight schedule, make sure you tell your guide at the beginning of the tour.
